The drive east on I-8 and I-10
The truck leaves San Diego on Interstate 8, climbs over the mountains east of the city and drops to Yuma. At Gila Bend it joins Interstate 10 and follows it through Tucson and El Paso, then across West Texas and the Hill Country into San Antonio.
