The north and east are easier
Riverdale, Fieldston, Country Club, Throgs Neck and City Island have driveways and wider streets, and most pickups there happen at the door. Riverdale's steeper hillside blocks are the one exception worth mentioning when you book.
Low bridges are real here
The parkways crossing the borough carry clearance limits that exclude commercial carriers entirely, so a driver's route in is rarely the one a car would take. It changes nothing about your price, but it does mean the truck may approach from a direction you would not expect.
Students and campus moves
Fordham University, Lehman College, Manhattan College and Bronx Community College all turn over in late August and mid-May, the tightest fortnights of the year for the metro. Two to three weeks of notice makes a real difference to both price and pickup date.
When should you book a Bronx car shipment?
